IA practice does not follow a single universal method. The path varies across three primary organizational contexts, each with distinct scope, stakeholder structure, and output expectations.
Enterprise IA operates at scale across product portfolios, internal knowledge systems, and service catalogs. The basic mechanism
At its core, IA works by imposing controlled structure on an otherwise undifferentiated body of content or data. The mechanism has three interdependent components:
Classification assigns content objects to categories based on shared attributes. Sequence and flow
